ix Sigma Winery was inaugurated on September 28th, 2005, when we processed our first grapes, a beautiful vintage of Tempranillo harvested in Christian’s Diamond Mine Vineyard. We focus on small lot, high quality wines, and every aspect of our winery reflects that, from state-of-the-art equipment to gentle handling and meticulous hand-sorting of the grapes, ensuring that only the best fruit is used in each of our wines.

APRIL 22 – BARCELONA, SPAIN (DAY 4)
Today we board our ship the Seabourn Odyssey
The infinite variety of street life, the nooks and crannies of the medieval Barri Gòtic, the ceramic tile and stained glass of Art Nouveau facades, the art and music, the throb of street life, the food (ah, the food!)—one way or another, Barcelona will find a way to get your full attention. The capital of Catalonia is a banquet for the senses, with its beguiling mix of ancient and modern architecture, tempting cafés and markets, and sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches.missing>
APRIL 23 – PALAMOS, SPAIN (DAY 5)
Located at the foot of the mountains on Spain’s rugged Costa Brava, Palamos boasts seven superb beaches, Iberian archeological remains from the year 6 BC, and the Church of Sant Esteve on the beach. Highlighting the town center is its 16th-century cathedral.
APRIL 24 – SETE, FRANCE (DAY 6)
The port town of Sete hugs the tiny Mont St. Clair, and is caught between the Mediterranean and the Bassin de Thau, a salt lake directly behind it.
The life of the town is found in its squares: Place Leon Blum, with its fountain and Wednesday morning flower market; Place Aristide, with its old fashioned bandstand; and Place de la Republique, with its huge retaining walls and vaulted loggias. Sete retains its historic purpose as a fishing boat haven for North African trade; the old harbor dates from the time of Louis XIV.
APRIL 25 – MONTE CARLO (DAY 7)
The Principality of Monaco is the epitome of Riviera chic. This tiny enclave of 370 acres surrounds a sheltered harbor that draws yachts from around the world to enjoy the beautiful scenery, mild weather and elegant casino. Glamorous Monte Carlo is one of Monaco’s four quarters, which also include La Condamine, the business district; Monaco-ville, the capital; and Fontvieille, an area built on reclaimed land. Ruled by Prince Albert II, Monaco has a population of over 32,000, of which about 16 percent are citizens, or Monégasques.
APRIL 26 – TOULON, FRANCE (DAY 8)
One of the Mediterranean’s best ports and largest harbors welcomes you to the home of the French Mediterranean Fleet. Located in the Var prefecture of the Provence, Toulon has a long history that is revealed in various districts of the city. The Old Town is along the harbor, with narrow streets and small squares, most boasting a nicely decorated fountain. The Upper Town is mostly 19th century grandeur. You can take a cable car to Mont Faron, bypassing the road that is a notorious stretch for bicycle racers. The waterfront neighborhood of Le Mourillon is a family-friendly beach area for Toulonais. There are wonderful museums of history, art from various periods and naval history to explore as well.
APRIL 27 – Ajaccio, Corsica, France (DAY 9)
Corsica, the “scented isle,” was the birthplace of Napoleon, and as late as the last century bands of brigands controlled his mountainous and rugged homeland. The beaches of Ajaccio, ranging from narrow crescents to broad, golden expanses help to account for the city’s rise as a popular resort. Such scenic attractions as the Calanches of Piana, those red granite mountains with their spectacular slopes and formations add an additional element of interest.Corsica, the “scented
APRIL 28 – LIVORNO (FLORENCE/PISA) ITALY (DAY 10)
Livorno is the gateway to the region of Tuscany, which as Goethe once observed, looks like Italy should. The remarkable wealth of beauty here mellowed to a golden patina by history and tempered by the hand of man, awaits. Everywhere there is history, from the Etruscan stronghold of Fiesole, to the Roman colony of Volterra to the Renaissance splendor of Florence, Pisa, Sienna and San Gimignano. If the landscape evokes a sense of the familiar it is because the great masters have used it as a backdrop for their great works. Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci were archtypal Tuscans and Renaissance men who headed an extensive list of geniuses who lived, worked and created within a single period of time.
APRIL 29 – Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy (DAY 11)
Originally built by Emperor Trajan who had a villa here, Civitavecchia has flourished as a major port for Rome since the 13th century. Today it is an important ferry terminal and for many travelers the gateway to the Eternal City, Rome. The Renaissance fortifications that surround the harbor area were begun by Bramante and completed by Michelangelo in 1535. Please ask for Rome Holiday extension.
Wine Tasting and Fine Dining at the Hotel Casa Fuster Grand Hotel in Barcelona’s Historic Center
As a gift for his adored wife, Consuelo Fabra i Puig, Mariano Fuster commissioned modernist architect Lluís Domènch i Montaner to design Casa Fuster. The magnificent home was the most expensive in the city when it was completed in 1907, but the family lived there only briefly. In 2004, the building, including Café Vienés, was painstakingly restored and transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel. Decorated with Art Nouveau–inspired furnishings, the ninety-six guest rooms pay homage to the building’s original grandeur. The lobby, the alfresco terrace and the jazz club, Café Vienés, recall the heady intellectual atmosphere of early 20th-century Barcelona; once a week, the café hosts jazz concerts that have drawn everyone from Scott Robinson to Woody Allen’s New Orleans Jazz band.”
Founded as a Roman city, in the Middle Ages Barcelona became the capital of the County of Barcelona. After merging with the Kingdom of Aragon, Barcelona continued to be an important city in the Crown of Aragon as an economic and administrative centre of this Crown and the capital of the Principality of Catalonia. Barcelona has a rich cultural heritage and is today an important cultural centre and a major tourist destination. Particularly renowned are the architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner, which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
A history of excellence. Explore a tale of family tradition, passion and values ingrained with the passage of time. Freixenet’s history reaffirms their commitment to quality and global sustainability, the excellence of cava and the mission of leadership.
The Freixenet vineyards are primarily located in the heart of the Penedès region, a privileged area that is greatly influenced by the Mediterranean climate, with three different cultivation areas: the coast, the flatlands and the mountains. Three ideal soils for the classic cava varietals: Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada.

Heretat Oller del Mas has more than 1,000 years of history Surrounding the mediaeval castle that dates back to the 10th century and was completely restored from 1981 to 2008, the place exudes the captivating history of the Oller family: knights, noblemen, leaders, religious men and master craftsmen who have left their mark on the country’s history.
