FEBRUARY 7 – CAPE TOWN (DAY 1)
Private town car from the Cape Town airport to our luxurious hotel, the Queen Victoria Hotel; an elegant 5- star hotel located in the V&A Waterfront District. Dinner on own this evening. Queen Victoria Hotel for 3 nights.
FEBRUARY 8 – CAPE TOWN (DAY 2)
After breakfast with our intimate group we will experience the historic beauty of Cape Town like a local by visiting the famous Company Gardens in the center of Cape Town’s ‘city bowl’. Enjoy a return trip on the Table Mountain Cable Car, where you’ll learn about fynbos (local plant life), see Cape Town from above and its stunning views and if you’re lucky you’ll spot a ‘Dassie’ (rock hyrax). Visit the famous brightly colored houses of the Bo-Kaap and learn about the heritage of the vibrant Cape Malay people and a short walking tour of the area. Breakfast and lunch included.
FEBRUARY 9 – CAPE TOWN (DAY 3)
After breakfast we will enjoy a tour of the breathtakingly beautiful Cape Peninsula with great spots to take photos during our scenic drive along the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive on our way to visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve & Cape Point. Take a stroll through Boulders Beach, home to the delightfully comical African penguin. After lunch we’ll visit the seaside towns of Simon’s Town and Kalk Bay. Finishing off with wine tasting at Cape Point Vineyards with a spellbinding view of Noordhoek Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Breakfast and lunch included.
FEBRUARY 10 – FRANSCHOEK ( DAY 4) WINELANDS
After checking out of our hotel in Cape Town we’re on our way to the South Africa Winelands region. We’ll stop and visit Vergenoegd for the famous duck parade at 12:30pm, promises to be lots of fun. We will have a harvest experience, cellar tour, wine tasting and lunch at the esteemed Marianne Wine Estate in Stellenbosch while meeting with the winemaker or owner for your questions. Accommodations provided by Franschhoek Country House and Villa’s for 3 nights. Breakfast and lunch included.
FEBRUARY 11 – WINELANDS (DAY 5)
Full day of local touring including wine tasting and cellar tour at the off-the-beaten-track wine estate, Keermont, with our host winemaker, Alex Starey. After lunch we’ll meet the winemaker, Jasper Raats, and explore the cellar at Longridge, a fully biodynamic and organic wine estate in the ‘Golden Triangle’, the heart of the Stellenbosch wine region. Breakfast and lunch included.
FEBRUARY 12 – WINELANDS (DAY 6)
Well be departing our hotel early this morning as we have a lot to explore and taste. We’ll start with the Hemel en Aarde Valley and learn about the celebrated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of the region. Enjoy walking through the vineyards of Newton Johnson with the viticulturist, Dean Leppan, followed by a casual wine tasting with a view on their tasting deck overlooking the valley. We’ll be Visiting Creation Wine Estate and meet the owners Carolyn and JC Martin, all while enjoying an in-depth tutored wine tasting with their winemaker, Gerhard Smith. After lunch we will be wine tasting at Hamilton Russel Estate and meet Emul Ross, the winemaker who will take us through his cellar. After wine tasting we will explore the coastal town of Hermanus and soak in the stunning views while walking the cliff paths overlooking the ocean (time permitting)
FEBRUARY 13 – 18 LION SANDS RIVER LODGE (5 Nights)
We’ll transfer in the morning to the Cape town International Airport for our flight to Skukuza airport. Once we arrive at Skukuza we will be met by our driver to transfer us to Lion Sands River Lodge for 5 nights. Lion Sands River Lodge is located in the renowned Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Sabi Sand borders the world-famous Kruger National Park; together, they form 2.7 million hectares of protected wilderness. Game roams freely between the reserves, creating one of Africa’s most bio-diverse wildlife populations.
Explore the area on morning and late afternoon game drives in the care of experienced rangers and trackers. Encounter the Big 5 as well as – if your luck is in – magnificent wild dog and cheetah. Leopards are the main attraction in the Sabi area, which boasts an unrivalled record for the regularity and quality of sightings.
Departing at sunrise for your first game drive makes the bountiful breakfast on return to the lodge very welcome. The best digestive aid is a guided nature walk, which provides a refreshingly intimate perspective on the bush. African afternoons are designed for utter relaxation: lounge at the pool, soak up the views of the Sabie River from your suite or indulge your senses at the spa. We’ll be offering exclusive to our group dinners in the bush and wine tasting.

As well as being home to hundreds of wine estates, the Winelands is also renowned for its stunning scenery, charming Cape Dutch architecture and some of the finest restaurants and gastronomic experiences in South Africa.
The Winelands are a loose geographic region encompassing the principal wine production areas of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
As well as indulging yourself with good food, great wine and beautiful scenery, these places offer local sights, monuments, and various activities to keep you and your family occupied.
Our 3-day tour includes many winery visits with the winery owners or winemakers as our hosts. We’ll get an opportunity to tour & taste at Keermont Cellars with winemaker Alex Starey as our guide. Meet the winemaker Jasper Raats and explore the cellar of Longridge a fully biodynamic and organic wine estate in the ” Golden Triangle”. We’re then off to explore the Hemel en Aarde Valley and learn about the celebrated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of the region while walking through the vineyards of Newton Johnson with the viticulturist, Dean Lappon, followed by wine tasting.
Next we’re off to visit Creation Wine Estate and meet the owners Carolyn and JC and enjoy an in depth tutored wine tasting with their winemaker Gerhard Smith. We have the opportunity to meet Emul Ross, the winemaker at Hamilton Russell Estate who will take us through his cellar while tasting their wines.
Dinner in the bush, is no ordinary experience and visitors are guaranteed to be blown away by the array of delicious meals, all of which are served to you in different locations. Delicious dinners eaten outside under gently lit trees are a wonderful experience loved by all.
